KKST Showcases Sirimba Model to National and Regional Leaders at Suiderlig Secondary School Gala Fundraiser in Keetmanshoop

Keetmanshoop, Kharas Region–  August 2025

Karibu Kwetu Solar Trading (KKST) proudly participated in the Suiderlig Secondary School Gala Fundraiser, an event that successfully raised over N$800,000 to renovate and expand the school’s hostel facilities.

Originally built to accommodate 200 boarders, the hostel currently houses only 150 due to its deteriorated state. With the funds raised, Suiderlig aims to renovate the facility and expand its capacity to accommodate more learners from surrounding villages and settlements.

The prestigious event was attended by a distinguished list of national and regional leaders, including:

  • Her Excellency Lucia Witbooi, Vice President of Namibia and alumna of Suiderlig Secondary School (Guest of Honour)

  • Hon. Gaudentia Kröhne, Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy

  • Mr. Usko Nghaamwa, Former Ohangwena Governor and Patron of Suiderlig Secondary School

  • Hon. Dawid C. Gertze, Governor of the ||Kharas Region

  • Hon. Prof. Peter Katjavivi,Former Speaker of the National Assembly

Patron Usko Nghaamwa pledged the highest single donation of N$330,000, reinforcing the importance of ensuring that every Namibian child has access to quality education, invoking the slogan “Education for All”.

On the sidelines of the gala, KKST held a productive roundtable discussion with the Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy, Hon. Gaudentia Kröhne, and other attending dignitaries to informally introduce the Sirimba Model — KKST’s solar-financed, trust-governed infrastructure platform designed to deliver education, healthcare, and sustainable development to communities nationwide.

“This event brought together leaders who share our vision of transforming educational infrastructure through innovative, self-sustaining models. The Sirimba Model is designed to deliver exactly that — long-term, community-driven impact,” said Aliela Muyembe, CEO of KKST.

KKST’s participation at the fundraiser underscored its commitment to advancing Namibia’s educational infrastructure while building strategic partnerships with high-level decision-makers and regional authorities.
