Celebrating the Launch of Andreas Robert’s New Book
On the 11th of April, 2025, Namibia witnessed a remarkable celebration of youth empowerment, leadership, and vision as our Youth Engagement & Advocacy Lead Andreas Robert officially launched his much-anticipated book. The event, held at the NUST, brought together some of the nation's most respected leaders, intellectuals, and advocates for change — a clear testament to the profound impact Andreas continues to have across Namibia’s civic landscape.
Among the distinguished guests were His Excellency Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah, First Gentleman of Namibia; The Right Honourable Prof. Peter Katjavivi, former Speaker of the National Assembly; the UNESCO Country Lead for Namibia; representatives from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST); and Prof. Alfons Mosimane, Executive Dean at the University of Namibia, delegated by the Vice Chancellor to represent UNAM Main Campus.
Their presence was more than ceremonial — it was a resounding endorsement of the values Andreas stands for: education, civic participation, and the unwavering belief that young voices can and must shape the future of Namibia.
Throughout the evening, guests reflected on Andreas’ journey — from his leadership roles with UNFPA, the Municipality of Okahandja, and Miss NGO Namibia, to his growing influence as a national advocate for equity and sustainable development. His book captures this journey, offering both a mirror and a roadmap for Namibia’s rising generation.
In his address, Andreas spoke of dreams born from struggle, of leadership forged through service, and of a future that demands courage from the youth. "This book is not just my story," he reminded the audience. "It is a testament to every young Namibian daring to believe that they too can lead, create, and transform."
As the evening drew to a close, one thing was unmistakably clear: this was not just a book launch. It was the beginning of a larger movement — one led by young people, inspired by tradition, and driven by an unshakable commitment to a more inclusive and sustainable Namibia.
We congratulate Andreas Robert on this incredible milestone — and we look forward to the chapters he will continue to write, not just in books, but in the story of Namibia itself.
