Partnership with Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) on Project Baobab, Africa's First Fully Solar Powered AI Cluster

Windhoek, Namibia — Karibu Kwetu Solar Trading (KKST) has entered into a strategic collaboration with the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) under an ongoing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing renewable energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation-led development in Namibia.

Through this partnership, KKST and NUST are joining forces on Project Baobab, a groundbreaking initiative to establish Africa’s first fully solar-powered AI cluster. The collaboration is designed to accelerate research, training, and capacity building in key areas such as solar energy, sustainable infrastructure, and ethical AI applications and sustainability.

The partnership aligns with Namibia’s national development goals, promoting technological excellence and empowering the next generation of innovators and engineers. By combining academic expertise with industry experience, the initiative seeks to create transformative, technology-driven solutions for sustainable development across Africa.

This joint effort reflects both institutions’ shared commitment to sustainability, digital transformation, and inclusive growth. Further details on the MoU and upcoming projects will be announced as the partnership framework is finalized.
