Karibu Kwetu Solar Trading Partners with Jessica’s High Five Foundation to Launch Sirimba School & Energy Hub in Epukiro, Namibia
Epukiro, Omaheke Region – July 2025
Karibu Kwetu Solar Trading (PTY) Ltd is proud to announce a transformative partnership with Jessica’s High Five Foundation, founded by community leader and former Miss Namibia semi-finalist Jamaa Jessica Katjiteo, to establish a Sirimba School & Energy Hub Model in Epukiro, Omaheke Region. This collaborative initiative aims to deliver dignified education, sustainable energy, and essential services to marginalized communities—beginning with Epukiro’s most underserved children.
The Sirimba Model, developed by Karibu Kwetu, is a globally recognized blueprint for rural transformation. It combines a solar-powered infrastructure backbone with inclusive, climate-resilient school campuses, vocational training facilities, and a community clinic—financed sustainably through clean energy revenue. The Epukiro project will be the second official pilot of the Sirimba Model in Namibia, following strong national momentum and growing international interest.
Jessica Katjiteo, a 27-year-old youth advocate born and raised in Okajombo village in Epukiro, brings deep-rooted community insight and passion to the partnership. Through her nonprofit organization, Jessica’s High Five Foundation, she has led grassroots efforts to provide food, school supplies, clothing, and emotional support to vulnerable children and San families across the region.
“We may not feed them all, but there will be a change in someone else’s life,” Jessica affirms. “This partnership with KKST brings us closer to building real schools for real children, with real electricity and real opportunities. It’s more than charity—it’s justice.”
The partnership will anchor the Sirimba campus in Epukiro with locally informed programming, culturally respectful design, and a long-term development strategy aligned with both the Omaheke Regional Council’s human development goals and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Namibia.
“Jessica’s work is not only inspiring—it’s essential,” said Aliela Muyembe, CEO of Karibu Kwetu Solar Trading. “Together, we’re demonstrating that rural equity is not a handout, but an investment. Through this partnership, Epukiro is not being left behind—it’s becoming a leader.”
Planning and stakeholder consultations are already underway, with architectural designs to follow and fundraising for Phase 1 set to begin in August 2027. The team welcomes collaboration from local businesses, global partners, and government stakeholders committed to uplifting rural Namibia through bold, community-owned solutions.
